Dear Students

Your Mid-term exam will be conducted on Monday March 17, 2014. Details are below:

Place: S-321 (your course lab)
Timings: 02:00 - 03:15 pm
Weight-age: 25 %
Marks: 40
Pattern: MCQs, short questions and long question/s

Topics: Significance and applications of microorganisms in industry; important groups of industrial microorganisms: search and selection for industrial microorganism, properties and parameters of good organism, genetic and other modification techniques, animal and plant cell cultures; fermentation media: properties of good media, parameters of a medium, relationship of medium with fermentation process, various substrates and sources of fermentation media; fermentation systems: fermenters / bioreactors, properties of fermenters and an ideal fermenter, parameters of a fermenter, physical and chemical factors, various types of fermenters.

Be on time and bring your own stationary etc. Cellular phones are not allowed during the exam.
